Ask anyone at the GRAZIA office what their dream day looks like and they’ll probably answer with the itinerary Kendall Jenner set during a casual Thursday in Beverly Hills: wearing Phoebe Philo to shop at The Row. An ideal fantasy many of us can only hope to one day live out is a quotidian exercise for the supermodel.

Jenner’s prowess for quiet luxury has quickly become catnip for sartorial adherents, with the 818 Tequila founder’s penchant for stealth wealth style spawning countless headlines and imitations.

But in a decisive outing, wearing pieces from one of the most highly-coveted collections of all time to shop at one of the most exclusive boutiques in the world, Jenner has cemented her status as the poster girl for inconspicuous elegance.

Jenner donned a subtle dichromatic silhouette for the occasion, opting for a pair of oversized white denim trousers and Philo’s ‘sold-out-in-5-minutes’ Laurel black leather jacket. (With the accompanying scarf attachment, of course). On her arm, Jenner toted the bag du jour: the top handle small Kit Cabas in chocolate brown calf hair.

This excursion marks Philo’s first celebrity placement since debuting her inaugural collection under her eponymous label.

We wonder how both the English designer and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen feel about the moment being celebrated by Jenner posing for a selfie in The Row’s strict ‘no photo’ policy Melrose Place store?

When you’re a member of the celebrity style set, it’s clear you’re above the rule of law.

Perhaps this pseudo collaboration is Philo and the Olsen twins’ way of saying; “If you can’t beat them, join them.”

And based on the current mode and appetite for uniform dressing to combat the precarious nature of now, it’s apparent both these austere, minimal and polished mavens aren’t beating the allegations of having the zeitgeist in a chokehold any time soon.
