Katy Perry is in New York City right now, shutting down the streets with one incredibly good ‘fit after another.
For a round of press in the city, the singer and American Idol judge arrived wearing a perfectly put-together look made up of a cream belted overcoat with a black knitted midi dress underneath and black leather buckled mules by By Far. She added a pair of black cat-eye shades and a black leather shoulder bag from The Row.

Even though this article is supposed to be about Perry revealing she’s five weeks sober, which we will get to in a moment, it would be remiss not to include that she later changed into three back-to-back equally incredible looks later that day.
Her wardrobe included a brown leather coat with shearling trim, paired with strappy maroon sandals and a matching bag, the pink moment above, and distressed, low-rise R13 Denim jeans paired with a white baby tee under a cropped yellow leather Balenciaga jacket.
Perry is looking A+ at the moment, due to both her stylist, Tatiana Waterford, and, likely, the fact she’s been sober for five weeks.
While speaking with People, Perry revealed the milestone saying she plans to do three months without drinking. “I’ve been doing a pact with my partner and I want to quit,” she explained. (She and Orlando Bloom have been engaged since 2019.)
“I can’t cave,” she added. “I made a promise. Three months.”
Perry’s sober journey comes after Bella Hadid revealed she, too, is sober, celebrating five months during a girl’s trip to Las Vegas earlier this month. In an interview with InStyle last year, the model admitted she “mostly” gave up booze by the middle of 2021, after she realised that she would “cancel nights out” because she was aware that she “wouldn’t be able to control [herself].”
“I have done my fair share of drinking,” she told the publication. “I loved alcohol and it got to the point where even I started to, you know, cancel nights out that I felt like I wouldn’t be able to control myself.”
