Kate Moss is the epitome of cool-girl style. One can’t think of bohemian-rocker chic without calling to mind some of Moss’ iconic looks (like all of her Glastonbury festival outfits, which you can see here). In a new interview, she’s opening up about her current style, her fashion archive and why she thinks the younger generation is “so prudish nowadays.”

During her chat, she recalled when her daughter, Lila Grace Moss Hack, 19, questioned wearing nipple pasties with a sheer top. Moss had an immediate reaction. “Never wear a pasty! That’s my advice to the younger generation,” Moss said.

She added that these days, the up-and-comers are “all scared to be themselves and I think they should dress as they want,” says Moss. “You can’t have regrets.”

The supermodel also pushes Lila when it comes to expanding her style, and shared the story about urging the teen to buy a blue lamé mini dress and tall boots at Marc Jacobs. “But Mum, nobody wears this!” Lila said, to which Moss quipped, “No one wore a ’30s dress and trainers when I was your age!”

After being the muse for so many designers throughout her tenure, one can only image the type of fashion archive the supermodel has built. As expected, the star describes it as “quite big” (as if we thought otherwise!). She pulled pieces from it to style her new Diet Coke campaign for the brand’s 40th anniversary (she’s the new creative director), and found treasures she thought she lost forever.

For now, fans shouldn’t expect too many blasts from the past (although she did whip out a Union Jack jacket from John Galliano for the Platinum Jubilee). “Maybe in a couple of decades, I’ll pull out the Marc Jacobs look I wore when I was 25, but at the moment it’s too close,” she told British Vogue. “But it’s a problem because Lila’s started to wear my things, and we have to be careful!”
