Looks like Kate Middleton has taken Gen Z’s advice to heart, skipping her favored skinny jeans for a pair of relaxed slim-cut from & Other Stories. During an appearance at London’s Natural History Museum, the Duchess of Cambridge paired the cropped light-wash style jeans from & Other Stories with a salmon Chloe blazer, a white tee and Veja sneakers.

The jeans are a bargain at only $89.

The comfortable and girl-next-door outfit was perfect for the mom-of-three’s visit which coincided with the museum’s Urban Nature Project, which strives to inform UK citizens about the importance of nature and wildlife in towns and cities.

Kate was joined by local schoolchildren in a few nature activities, including a “spider-making” arts and crafts project, which saw the Duchess in laughter with the children as she attempted to craft a “spider” of her own.

Those who follow the Tik-Tok generation – or at least get their second-hand knowledge from Facebook – will know that skinny jeans fell out of fashion earlier this year when Generation Z (those born between 1997 and 2015) decided the iconic style was passe – along with side parts and certain emojis.

Baggy jeans are where it’s at now, with slim-cut, straight-cut and flares all seeing an uptick in sales.

Kate’s never been afraid to wear a new style or follow a new trend though – even if it’s an incredibly retro trend.
