Kate Beckinsale is really getting into the holiday spirit and has recruited a few furry friends to help her out.
The British beauty, who isn’t shy about her love for her pet cats, has been cracking fans up by dressing up one of them ahead of Christmas. Over the weekend, the Underworld star took the gram and posted series of hiss-terical videos of her fluffy grey cat, Clive, dressed up as “Cardinal Wolsey.” The pampered pet was seen wearing a red leopard sweater and red head scarf tied “jaunty” on the side and topped with a springy mistletoe leaf.
In another funny photo, Beckinsale, who split with 23-year-old-boyfriend Goody Grace back in October, transforms good sport Clive into a mini Santa Claus and poses alongside him in matching hat and beard with the caption “Santa Babies.”
He also dons a present-inspired sweater while posing next to the Christmas tree with his equally stylish Pomeranian sibling, who shows off a pair of reindeer antlers.
Dressing up Clive has become somewhat of a Christmas tradition for the British babe. In addition to his St. Nick ensemble, last year Clive donned a Christmas tree costume as well as red hooded sweater with a mini Santa on his back.
“I’m very much a cat person,” Beckinsale told PEOPLE in 2019. “I had cats growing up when I was little, and a big dog. Cats are easier than dogs, you don’t have to walk around with a bag of poo like you do with a dog, which I hate to walk around with a bag of poo.”
Along with Clive, the 47-year-old has another Persian cat named Willow, although she’s not quite as game for the fashion shoots as her adoptive brother. “Willow is more of a handful but she’s so pretty, we forgive her,” Beckinsale has said.
Christmas isn’t the only holiday that Beckinsale and her kitty crew celebrate together. Clive was seen wearing several costumes over Halloween including an orange and back spider, banana, and Chucky Doll. Back in August, the Love & Friendship and one of her furry friends celebrated International Cat Day by soaking up some sun side by side in matching hammocks. The self-proclaimed cat lady and Clive also stuck on matching googly eyes while bored during lockdown among the ongoing global pandemic.
