Reese Witherspoon and Ava Phillippe are getting into the holiday spirit.
The Oscar-winning actress took to the gram on Monday, sharing a cute and Christmas-y pic with her 21-year-old daughter. The look-alike blondes coordinated in festive Fair Isle sweaters from Witherspoon’s clothing brand Draper James. Both rocking bold red lips, Phillippe paired her white puff sleeve top with brown corduroys while the 41-year-old styled her sweater with black jeans. Mirroring each other’s stances, the two looked almost identical holding snowflake-adorned mugs topped with red and green candy canes.
“Ok. It’s 💯 true that I had to beg her to wear a matching Holiday sweater…. but isn’t it CUTE??!! #humorme #itsamomthing🥰 @draperjames,” the Legally Blonde actress captioned the Santa-approved photo. Phillippe responded, “hehe love you ❤️.”

Right away, the comments section lit up like a Christmas tree as fans and their celebrity friends gushed over the mother-daughter duo. “I’m seeing double!” Padma Lakshmi commented. “Worth it. 🌟🌟😍,” Jennifer Garner wrote. “Adorable! ❤️❤️❤️,” added Katie Couric. Selma Blair also chimed in, writing, “Cutest. 💋 💋.”
Phillippe is the oldest daughter of Witherspoon and her ex, “Shooter” actor Ryan Phillippe. The former couple also share 17-year-old son Deacon Reese Phillippe. Witherspoon also has a son named Tennessee with husband Jim Toth.
This is hardly the first time the ladies have sparked twinning talk this year. Back in September, the Big Little Lies star took to social media sharing a sweet shout-out to her baby girl for her 21st birthday.
“Her kindness, her compassion, and her huge heart never cease to amaze me. Ava, there aren’t enough words to describe how proud I am of everything you’ve already accomplished,” the actress wrote alongside a sweet side-by-side snap. “I cannot wait to see ALL the Good you will put into this world. I love you so much @avaphillippe.”
In May, it was Phillippe who was praising her talented mom as she shared a photo of the two of them posing underneath pink flowers. “Happy mother’s day to my first best friend! thank you for your everyday commitment to raising and loving us to the best of your ability,” she wrote via Instagram. “I am so lucky to learn from and be loved by you.💗”
