Josephine Skriver (BFA)

Former Victoria’s Secret model and founder of athleisure brand Joja, Josephine Skriver married her partner, The Cab’s frontman, Alexander DeLeon, who also goes by Bohnes, wearing an elegant Alberta Ferretti creation in sunny Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The model wore a bespoke lace wedding dress with V-neckline and spaghetti straps, that perfectly matched the beachy vibe, complete with a long veil secured in her classic, chic bun, and teamed with jewels from Logan Hollowell. Skriver told Vogue that she chose Alberta Ferretti because the designer’s shows were some of the first she walked in at the beginning of her modeling career.

(Skriver subtly hinted that she loves bridal white look from the brand, when she attended the Alberta Ferretti runway show back in February donning a white jumpsuit by the Italian fashion house.)

The brand shared photos of Skriver’s magical day on Instagram writing, “Lovely #JosephineSkriver chose a custom Alberta Ferretti wedding dress for her special day. Wishing you two all the happiness and love, Alberta.”

Beginning the celebrations on Friday night, the couple hosted a beach party with fireworks and a performance by Miguel. The ceremony took place at sunset on Sunday, where Skriver walked down an aisle covered with lush greenery and opulent white flowers. The pair exchanged vows under a lavish flower-adorned arch by floral designer Cristina Gonzalez. As for the groom, Leon wore a custom white David August tuxedo.

Later in the evening, Skriver swapped into a second dress to wear to the reception by designer (and friend) Danielle Guizio. With a bridal party filled with top models, including Jasmine Tookes, Sara Sampaio, and Kelsey Merritt, the bridesmaids all wore coordinating styles from Show Me Your Mumu in satin sage green. Gifting her besties with constellation necklaces from Logan Hollowell, the bridesmaids jewels weren’t the only sentimental gems given.

The bride’s ring was crafted by M Jewelers’ Mark Shami, a close friend of the bride and groom.

Together since 2013, DeLeon popped the question under the northern lights in Finland in 2018. “It was a cold November night. When he got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever.. I have never been more sure about anything in my life,” Skriver shared on Instagram. “You are my biggest adventure. My fairytale come true. My soulmate. My best friend. The love of my life.”

After having to postpone their nuptials due to COVID-19, Skriver wrote in the summer of 2020 that DeLeon was “worth the wait.”
