And if you want some inspiration, Jessica Simpson got the memo and just shared her own styling spin on swimwear in a new Instagram post.
We’re sure the singer’s 6.1 million Instagram followers felt some FOMO when she shared a photo from her romantic getaway with her husband, Eric Johnson. Not only did Simpson’s Mexican holiday look idyllic, but her vacation style was not to be missed.
The 42-year-old wore a brown bikini, which she accessorized with a large statement belt, straw hat, and oversized aviator sunnies to block out the beaming Cabo San Lucas sun. Simpson ignored typical bathing suit norms and opted to sport a pair of platform sandals, which also made an appearance in another swimwear look. She also posted a pic posing on a beautiful beach at sunset in a black one-piece with multiple cutouts. I mean, if you’re going to accessorize, why not go all the way? Am I right?
“Without 3 kids needing me to hurry, I had the time to accessorize the bikini 😜,” the star wrote. “It is the little things that make me happy.” She ended the post with a bit of self-promotion, shouting out that her sandals were from her own eponymous label. “Finally, the @jessicasimpsonstyle Dany is in my fav color- LEOPARD.”
