Bikini season is in full effect with everyone soaking up the last few days of summer — including celebrities. Kim Kardashian, Demi Moore, and Jennifer Aniston have been just some of the names serving up major swim style inspo the last few weeks. The latest celebrity to join the pack is actress Blake Lively, who spent a day by the pool ahead of her 35th birthday in a cute cap-sleeve two-piece that we want to add to our Labor Day getaway wardrobe, stat.
Yesterday, Lively showed off the white bikini, featuring a wrap-around top and cap-sleeve design with matching bikini bottoms with side ring cutout, on Instagram writing, “☀️summer lovin’ …had me a blast,” quoting a lyric from “Summer Nights” performed by the late Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta during the final scene of the 1978 musical Grease.
She posed in front of palm trees and a swimming pool, tagging husband Ryan Reynolds — perhaps to grab his attention while he’s in Wales promoting his new FX docuseries, Welcome to Wrexham, about buying Wrexham AFC, a Welsh soccer team.
Reynolds joked in the caption, “Wrexham is the Ibiza of Wales.”
Her sister Robyn Lively confirmed the actress’s summer poolside look by commenting, “Ok, smoke show!” Friend and jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz wrote, “With a body like that I’d have a blast all year round 😉🔥🔥🔥❤️”
The actress kicked off her birthday celebrations early with a trip to Disneyland with her sister Robyn. She shared a carousel of photos posing with characters and enjoying the rides captioning the post, “Find me a happier place on earth to start my birthday celebrations early. 💖 I’ll wait…”
Reynolds isn’t the only one in the Lively-Reynolds household with a new show in the works. Lively and co-star Anna Kendrick are both on board to revive their roles in a sequel to their 2018 comedy-thriller, A Simple Favor. The movie is based on the 2017 novel by Darcey Bell. Although the plot is still unknown, the first film followed the widowed, single, mommy-vlogger Stephanie (portrayed by Kendrick), who befriends the mysterious, successful, and stylish Emily (Lively).
