Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz are the latest celebrity couple that make you say, “huh, makes sense actually!” And it turns out Channing’s ex-wife and the mother of his eight-year-old daughter Everly is also happy that the Magic Mike actor is happy.

“Jenna doesn’t get involved in who he dates,” a source close to the actress told E! this week. (Channing has previously dated Jessie J.) “She wants the best for Channing and hopes that he is healthy and happy. She leaves it at that.”

Jenna and Channing met in 2006, married in 2009 after meeting on the set of dance movie Step Up, and welcomed their daughter, Everly, in 2013. But they announced their split in 2018, shocking fans. Channing and Zoe met on the set of her directorial debut Pussy Island in late 2020.

Following their split, Jenna embraced the change in her life, acknowledging that “people grow and they change and sometimes they don’t grow and change together.”

“So it wasn’t an overnight thing that happened,” she told People, “There was no one event. I think it was just a slow realization that we wanted different things.”

“I was just gutted,” she added. “It was so difficult for me. It was the loss of an idealistic future for myself and my life. What does that now look like for me? Where do I begin? I met him when I was 24, I didn’t know life without Chan.”

Jenna recently opened up about life with Channing following the birth of their daughter, admitting that she suffered from “post-partum anxiety.” She revealed that in the weeks following Everly’s birth, Channing couldn’t be with the family for some time due to his work schedule. “I had to travel with her and at the time, Chan wasn’t available to be with us for the most part. So, it was me, my doula, and Evie all by ourselves travelling at six weeks,” she said.

Dewan noted working in Everly’s early months was hard especially as she was on set for long hours. The result left her with postpartum anxiety. “It was like, I just never stopped. You know, you’re up a couple times in the night and then you’re working all day,” she recalled. “I was breastfeeding, I was pumping, I was without a partner, I mean it was just craziness.”

Jenna is now engaged to Steve Kazee and the pair welcomed their son, Callum, in 2020.
