Let’s check off another unlikely pair from the “romance rumours I never thought would ever happen” list now that it looks like Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz may be on their way to becoming an item. The two have dispelled dating rumours in the past, and while none of this is confirmed, photo evidence from Wednesday provides a pretty compelling tale that if the two aren’t dating, then they’re getting real close as friends.

I mean let’s face it, depending on your preferences, you wouldn’t mind taking a cozy, romantic ride around the NYC’s East Village with Channing Tatum and/or Zoë Kravitz. Kravitz was seen on The Tatum’s back as he rode a bike with a to-the-scalp shaved head. They both dressed casual, with Kravitz in a black tank top and jeans with a large green bag and black sunglasses, and Tatum sporting loose-fitting jeans and a larger-than-him t-shirt.

The bike in question was a black BMX bike and while Tatum steered and drove, Kravitz stood on the pegs of the bike with her arms wrapped around him for security. That’s what we’re going with, security.

In January, rumours began online that the two were dating, days after Kravitz finished the divorce process from then-husband Karl Glusman. Tatum himself has been on a wild journey of divorce proceedings which are still on-going, with custody disputes and ex-wife Jenna Dewan saying that Tatum “wasn’t available” for weeks after their daughter Evelyn was born. Additionally, Tatum’s ebb and flow of a relationship with singer Jessie J is over, with her posting on Instagram, “single life is a crystal ball.”

However tempting the thought of a Tavitz or Kravum duo might be, a source close to her claims that she’s single, but we’re skeptical. I mean it might just be a friendly coincidence that Kravitz gave Tatum fashion advice on set for her directorial debut Pussy Island, but that can be seen as a rather intimate move, especially regarding Tatum’s choice in crocs.

“When someone can just come out and tell me I should not be wearing Crocs, and is so adamant about it, she completely convinced me and I never wear Crocs anymore,” Tatum said in an interview, to which Kravitz responded ‘“I was just trying to be a good friend, Chan.”
