Cher’s Twitter account is the gift that keeps on giving. She often shares whatever is on her mind and is never afraid to “clap back” at haters on the platform. She has also shared insights into her love life, which recently has included her new beau, musician Alexander “AE” Edwards. On Christmas, Cher tweeted something that had many fans believing the two may have gotten engaged.
On Christmas Day, Cher tweeted a photo of a huge pear-shaped diamond ring with a diamond-covered band and captioned the pic, “THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER,A.E.”

Fans congratulated the star in the comments, no doubt thinking it was an engagement ring from the musician. However, about an hour later, Cher shared the same photo again with a new caption: “I posted this cause his nails are so cool.”
Alas, perhaps the two aren’t taking things to the next step, but it seems he has great taste in jewelry and the pair are still going strong. The two first sparked romance rumors when they were seen holding hands while leaving dinner at a Los Angeles restaurant in early November.
Edwards, 34, is the VP of A and R at the record label Def Jam and previously dated model Amber Rose — the two share a 3-year-old son named Slash. The 42-year age gap between Edwards and Cher, 76, has raised eyebrows, but the icon shut down any negativity in her signature way — on social media.
In early November, Cher wrote in a now-deleted tweet: “LOVE DOESN’T KNOW MATH, IT SEES 
.” She then posted a close-up photo of Edwards’ face and captioned it “Alexander .”
On Twitter she also shared that they met while at Paris Fashion Week and said that Edwards has met “everyone in my family” and treats her “like a queen.”
During a stop on The Kelly Clarkson Show, gushed about her new man. “On paper it’s kind of ridiculous, but in real life we get along great,” Cher said. “He’s fabulous, and I don’t give men qualities that they don’t deserve. He’s very kind. He’s very smart. He’s very talented, and he’s really funny. And I think he’s quite handsome.”
She also explained that men her age don’t seem to be interested in dating the superstar. “If I hadn’t met younger men in my life, I would have never had a date because older men just didn’t like me all that much. I have had a couple of boyfriends that were hovering around my age, but they just didn’t like me for some reason,” she shared. “Maybe younger men don’t care if you’re funny or outrageous or want to do stupid things and you have a strong personality. I’m not giving up my personality for anybody.”
