No one tell Sinéad O’Connor, but it looks like Iris Law stole her look. In recent posts made on various social media platforms, it looks like Ariana Grande loses the ponytail, Rihanna goes shorter than she ever has, and model Iris Law went straight to the scalp in a bleach-blonde buzz. This summer has proven to be especially warm, and losing a few inches is an easy way to cool off in the California heat.

Grande, 28, made the debut of her chopped bob in a brief instagram post that was promptly deleted. The once-iconic ponytail that is so recognizable in Ariana’s image is now a thing of the past, and fans across Twitter have mixed reactions. While this may be a sign of an end of the ponytail era, it should be noted that Grande’s ponytail was a product of extensions and could come back again at any time, but it’s never a bad time for something new.

While Grande was more conservative in her chop, Rihanna, 33, went bold and extra short in an Instagram post debuting the pride collection for her lingerie brand, Savage x Fenty. All things considered, Rihanna is a queen of transformation in terms of her style, have we ever really seen her look bad?

But the most dramatic haircut making headlines this week is the bleach blonde buzzcut of model Iris Law, 20. The daughter of actor Jude Law took to Instagram to show off a modern 90s grunge girl look accompanied with a pink cat eye, glossy lips and flawless skin. It’s refreshing to see a new and exciting look in a sea of Instagram-face copycats. In a world of Kylies, be an Iris.

While at-home haircuts became all the buzz during the height of quarantine, these celebs are making strides in the argument for reinventing your style, making bold choices as we start to slowly re-enter the world. But at the end of the day, if there’s any regrets, it’s just hair, and it does grow back.
