Hillary Clinton wears many hats. She was once First Lady of the US, a presidential candidate herself, a crime novelist, and an activist on women’s social and political issues. Now alongside her daughter Chelsea Clinton, the pair can count themselves as executive producers. Apple TV+ released the first trailer to Gutsy, which will follow the women as they interview the gutsy women who inspire them.

Based on The New York Times bestselling book, “The Book of Gutsy Women,” the eight-part docuseries will feature guest appearances from Glennon Doyle, Dr. Jane Goodall, Mariska Hargitay, Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson, Kim Kardashian, Megan Thee Stallion, Amber Ruffin, Amy Schumer, Gloria Steinem, Wanda Sykes, Symone (aka Reggie Gavin), Abby Wambach and Natalie Wynn (aka ContraPoints) among others. The women will attempt to answer the question: What does it mean to be gutsy? with thought-provoking conversations in an approach to timely issues.

While the Clinton family have evolved under the criticism of global media, it is hoped that viewers gain insight into their special mother-daughter bond. Perhaps it will inspired to pick up the phone and call your own mother-figure. The series will premiere on the streaming platform from September 9.

The news comes after Meghan Markle released the first episode to her Spotify podcast which, according to the trailer, will have “uncensored conversations” with guests about women and how they shape narratives in the culture and, “how we talk about women: the words that raise our girls, and how the media reflects women back to us,” Markle says. Her first episode is accompanied by the royal’s close friend Serena Williams. More on that, here.
