By now, you’ve probably heard of the term “glazed donut glow” referring to the dewy complexion Hailey Bieber always radiants. She’s been using the term for a while, and spoke about it frequently when promoting her skincare line, Rhode. During her press tour for the new launch, she’s been comparing the results of her products (specifically the Peptide Glazing Fluid) to a glazed donut. “Who doesn’t want to look glazed and dewy from head to toe?” she told Byrdie. “I want to look bitable.”

Throughout the press tour she dressed the part, looking like a glistening donut during a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in a nude sequined dress from British brand 16Arlington. She even nailed the look with her manicure (pun intended), sporting a subtle shimmery color, courtesy nail artist Zola Ganzorigt. (You can copy her exact shade, here.)

But there’s one person who didn’t fully understand what the glazed look promised. During a stop by Bieber’s YouTube series, “Who’s in My Bathroom?,” Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow confessed she didn’t understand what the term meant.

Bieber explained that she “didn’t come up with this concept.” Adding, “This is something that I feel like has always been in the skincare world. For me, it’s about the look that sheen, that glowy, glazy sheen. I don’t want to go to bed at night unless I look like a freshly glazed donut.”

It all clicked for Paltrow. “OK got it. First [my mind] went to, ‘does that mean someone wants to lick your face?’ And then I thought glazed donut sounded sexual.”

Throughout their chat in the Pottery Barn-designed bathroom set, they showed one another products from their respective beauty lines, and Paltrow shared one beauty regret. “I wish I could go back to my 25-year-old self and be like, ‘Can you put the Camel Lights down’ cause it’s going to really mess the lips up. I was so bad. I was in the sun with baby oil and smoking.”

In another viral moment, the pair kicked off the interview talking about how Paltrow once worked with Bieber’s dad, actor Stephen Baldwin, saying he was “great” to work with on an independent film they did together. “Imagine if you had some horror story,” Bieber says, to which Paltrow replies, “Yeah that would be bad, or if I like f**ked your dad in the bathroom.” (Don’t worry, she didn’t.)

“That’s good to know!” Bieber replied with a laugh.
