Gisele Bündchen has opened up about her life on the other side of 40. The supermodel, who entered her next decade last year, recently opened up about her beauty philosophy for a digital panel with Dior Skincare to promote the brand’s new Capture Totale Super Potent Eye Serum ($130). In Dior’s online discussion, she revealed that she’s actually enjoying this new era more than her previous years.

“With age comes wisdom, don’t you feel that? I feel better at 40 than I felt at 30, I can tell you that much,” she said, before adding, “I think the 40s are going to be awesome. The 20s were a little challenging, I’m not going to lie. The 30s, I was getting a grip on stuff. Now the 40s I’m like, ‘Let’s go!'”

Bündchen said that her attitude towards beauty and skincare has also evolved over the years, sharing that she is much more conscious about taking care of her delicate eye area as she has gotten older. While she admitted that she didn’t prioritize them as much in the past, it’s definitely “where I want to have the most care… I feel like the eyes are definitely the most sensitive part of the face… as I’m maturing,” she said.

She now devotes more of her time to eye care than she has in the past to prevent wrinkles and fine lines. “I’m like, ‘Okay let me remove my makeup,'” the model said. “I feel like the eyes are the window of the soul. I’m more aware of it than ever.”

Bündchen also spoke about how her diet impacts her skin, revealing that she keeps things healthy to support a clear, glowing complexion. “I always say let thy food be your medicine because I also think food is very important. If you eat a bunch of greasy food, it’s going be hard to have really good skin,” she said. “The more you eat your vegetables, that’s going to reflect in your skin.”
