In a rare social media move, Gigi Hadid has done a deep-dive into her camera roll and revealed her life in pictures from the last year via Instagram Stories. While baby Khai was taking a nap on Sunday, the new mother asked her followers to pick a date where she’d reveal an image from that day – and it included plenty of previously unseen pregnancy snaps.
The 25-year-old model shared an image of her pregnant belly late in May of 2020, just four weeks after the news broke. Fans also asked her to reveal a slew of pics from August 2020 where she was eight months pregnant. Among them was a selfie from the nursery, outtakes from Hadid’s pregnancy shoot with photographer duo, Luigi and Iango, and a gold bikini.
In addition to plenty of baby bumps, Hadid treated her 64.1 million followers to a couple of unseen images of her newborn daughter. While we haven’t seen a picture of Khai’s face, snaps do feature the baby in a puffer jumpsuit embroidered with her name – proof Khai has a better wardrobe than us.
Hadid has been settling into motherhood well. She has seamlessly nailed the art to stroller street style in New York City and returned to work this month to front a new Maybelline campaign.
“I think that as I get older… well one day I’ll start a family and I don’t know if I will always be modeling,” she told i-D Magazine in February, 2020, shortly before news of her pregnancy. “I love the creative side of fashion, it’s so fulfilling. The people I work with make me so happy, I’m so lucky to be around them. But who knows? Maybe I’ll take up full time cooking!”
