We’ve had no shortage of celebrity babies who’ve been born in the new decade, but, unlike other years – global pandemic, lockdowns and economic crisis’ aside, of course – a lot of these new additions come courtesy of those with fashion backgrounds, meaning that both maternity style and motherhood style has been incredibly chic in 2020.
There’s Chloë Sevigny who gave birth to her first child in May and has since gone on to walk her Fendi stroller around in so many chic outfits that we dedicated an entire article to them, there’s Sophie Turner, who uses her midday baby walks to debut new Louis Vuitton boots, and now, of course, Gigi Hadid, who’s finally returned to the Big Apple, newborn daughter in tow.
After giving birth to her first child with Zayn Malik in September, Hadid spent the past few months getting used to motherhood at her family’s farm in Pennsylvania. But yesterday she was spotted not only back in New York City, but back in New York City with a stroller, her supermodel sister in tow, and in some very chic warm-weather attire.
Wearing an outfit that’s perfect for a brisk NY winter’s day, Hadid was photographed in a black wrap coat belted over denim shirting and Dr Martens boots. She wore a tote across her body that reads “practical mother” and accessorised with a baker boy hat. Meanwhile, her younger sister, Bella, wore a Matrix-style leather coat, distressed jeans, a black beanie and lug-soled boots.
If this is anything to go by, the one thing we can be sure of in this confusing and trying time is that 2021 is going to bring a lot more ultra-stylish mum and aunty street style moments. Now all we need is a look at that baby…
