The 27-year-old model stepped out in New York on August 3, wearing a look that’s perfect for those days when it’s hot one day and cold the next. The look was quintessential Hadid, showing off her relaxed Californian style, consisting of a crochet cropped vest, ripped jeans at the knees, and a casual pair of black Converse. For accessories, she topped off the look with a very Y2K-esque bucket hat, round sunglasses, vanity case bag, and shell jewelry.
The breakout of Hadid’s look was indeed the crochet cropped vest in a colorful medley print of stripes and checkerboard from Erika Maish. Much like the sexy cardigan trend of last summer, the crochet vest is a clear indicator of temperatures settling and the perfect way to avoid overheating or getting too chilly. Opt for one that is cropped, like the eldest Hadid sister, and it adds another layer of airiness baring midriff.
