Florence Pugh is never one to shy away from a sheer ensemble. She’s been vocal about wearing see-through looks in the past and she shows no sign of stopping. Over the weekend, the Don’t Worry Darling actress attended the Valentino Fall/Winter 2023 show during Paris Fashion Week in a glamorous, yet totally sheer, skirt.

Pugh arrived at the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild wearing a glistening see-through sequin floor-length skirt with a heavily embellished puddle train and a visible neutral-toned thong underneath. For a high/low effect, The Wonder star teamed her skirt with a cropped gray crewneck sweatshirt with a silver jewel-encrusted collar, matching her diamond stud earrings, bracelets and silver bedazzled Valentino handbag.

Keeping her makeup minimal with a glowing complexion, bronzed eyeshadow and a matte mauve lip, Pugh styled her blonde hair in a spiky top knot, with a few tendrils framing her face.

Super-fans know Pugh has worn other memorable sheer looks by Valentino before. Last July, the actress attended the Valentino Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2022 show on the historic steps of the Piazza di Spagna in Rome, wearing a see-through Pink PP tulle dress with a frilly halter neckline.

Pugh faced an unexpected amount of backlash from internet trolls commenting on her body. She clapped back on Instagram writing, “Listen, I knew when I wore that incredible Valentino dress that there was no way there wouldn’t be a commentary on it,” she wrote. “Whether it be negative or positive, we all knew what we were doing. I was excited to wear it, not a wink of me was nervous. I wasn’t before, during or even now after. What’s been interesting to watch and witness is just how easy it is for men to totally destroy a woman’s body, publicly, proudly, for everyone to see. You even do it with your job titles and work emails in your bio..?”

Pugh continued, “It isn’t the first time and certainly won’t be the last time a woman will hear what’s wrong with her body by a crowd of strangers, what’s worrying is just how vulgar some of you men can be. Thankfully, I’ve come to terms with the intricacies of my body that make me, me. I’m happy with all of the ‘flaws’ that I couldn’t bear to look at when I was 14.”

After facing body shammers in the wake of her last ultra-sheer Valentino ensemble, Pugh went for it again during Paris Fashion Week in October. This time, she wore a see-though gold sequin two-piece set featuring a floor-length skirt and a collared, extra-cropped long-sleeve top. Her top was close with just a single button, and she captioned photos on Instagram, “Trust the button.”

She’s also worn more sheer looks from Rodarte and Victoria Beckham last year. A pro at the see-through style moment, Pugh’s not about to let anyone dim her light.
