Following the global showcases at the winter fashion weeks, these trends are poised to define the upcoming season, offering a diverse range of options for fashion enthusiasts. From vibrant palettes to statement-making pieces, this season promises to be a captivating journey for fashion aficionados.

1. Tuxedo Dressing

Tuxedo dressing is making a comeback, with designers reimagining the classic look in new and exciting ways for FW23. From cropped jackets and Bermuda shorts to skirts and suits, tuxedo-inspired ensembles are sure to be seen everywhere.

One of the biggest trends is the reimagined white dress shirt and tuxedo jacket. Seen at brands like Brandon Maxwell and Simkhai, these jackets are perfect for accentuating your waistline and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

Another trend is the tuxedo suit in unexpected colors and fabrics. Valentino sent menswear-inspired suits down the runway in shades of pink, red, and even yellow.

2. Oversized Scarves

Oversized scarves are a must-have accessory for FW23. Seen on the runways of brands like Saint Laurent, Etro, and Burberry, these scarves are not only practical in keeping you warm, but they can also add a touch of glamour and sophistication to any outfit.

There are many different ways to wear an oversized scarf this season; You can drape it over your shoulders like a cape, wrap it around your neck like a shawl, or even tie it around your waist as a belt.

One of the best things about the oversized scarves of this season are that they come in a wide variety of colors, patterns, and fabrics. You can find oversized scarves in everything from classic neutrals to bold statement prints, and in fabrics such as cashmere, wool, and faux fur.

3. Bold Pattern Play

Pattern play is a bold and eye-catching trend that was all over the runways at the FW23 fashion weeks. Designers from Altuzarra to Christopher Kane to Versace showed off their pattern mixing prowess, creating looks that were both high fashion and unique.

One of the key elements of pattern mixing is to choose patterns that complement each other. This doesn’t mean that the patterns have to be identical, but they should be in the same color family or have a similar scale. For example, you could pair a small floral print with a large geometric print, or a striped print with a polka dot print.

Another important thing to keep in mind when using bold pattern play is balancing the look. If you’re wearing a lot of patterns, it’s important to ground the look with a solid color piece. You can also use accessories to balance the look, such as outfitting it with a solid color scarf, gloves, or belt to harmonize your fall fashion.

4. Metallic Jewel Tones

Metallic jewel tones were one of the most eye-catching trends from the FW23 collections. Designers like Balmain and Gucci sent models down the runway in everything from metallic emerald green dresses to shimmering silver styles.

Metallic jewel tones are a great way to stand out this fall. For a more formal look, try pairing a metallic jewel tone dress or skirt with heels and statement jewelry. For a more casual look, try pairing a metallic jewel tone top or jacket with trousers and boots.
