While promoting the already wildly successful second season of the HBO hit drama Euphoria, actress Maude Apatow stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night to discuss what we can expect for her character Lexi. Shimmering in a feathered frock, Apatow stunned in a classic Saint Laurent cocktail dress from the Resort 2022 collection. Accompanying her creamy beaded confection, Apatow donned rings and glass enamel butterfly earrings by Taline Arslanian’s Neptune jewels.

Reminiscing about the last time the actress visited the show, she recalls being backstage, with her famous father, filmmaker Judd Apatow featured as the guest at the time. Accidentally running into Harry Styles in the process, Apatow laughingly remembers becoming overwhelmed and emotional at the surprise, noting her extreme embarrassment.

Typical of her famously funny parents, Judd Apatow and actress Leslie Mann put the Euphoria actress on the spot by sending in a family video of their then-14-year-old daughter preparing for an interview with One Direction on the band’s first trip to America. Clearly a super-fan, the tween excitedly screeches and shakes with anticipation. In even more footage, Apatow’s parents provided Fallon with a video proceeding the One Direction concert she attended following her interview. Hysterically sobbing on the floor of an elevator after the show, her little sister Iris blankly stares at an emotional Maude eventually stating very matter-of-factly, “Maude, you’re fine.”

Not the first time her parents secretly sent in home videos to an interview, Apatow’s 2019 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert saw the talk show host run a clip of a 9-year-old Maude putting her heart and soul into a dramatic rendition of the the Broadway musical Cats‘ hit song “Memory.”

Hinting that we’ll be seeing a bit more of Lexi this season, Apatow expressed her insight that while she may seem the more reserved and responsible character, “I think she might be just as crazy as everyone else.”
