Emily Ratajkowski crossed the pond for London Fashion Week and she’s been hitting the catwalks all weekend. Late Sunday morning, London-based Albanian designer Nensi Dojaka presented her Spring/Summer 2023 ready-to-wear collection in front of a luminescent white backdrop and tapped Ratajkowski to close the show.
The model, actress, and best-selling author sported a slinky chiffon gown with a sheer, cranberry-colored floor-length skirt, and a rose-hued transparent bustier made of spotted tulle with dainty pink and burgundy spaghetti straps.
Appearing as a dewy mermaid, Ratajkowski’s brunette tresses were dampened and slicked back. The bare-faced beauty sported fresh-faced glam, with a glassy “glazed donut glow” and glossed lips. Her ensemble was completed with a pair of shoulder-scraping earrings, featuring a series of pearls linked by a silver chain, matched by her pearly, iridescent manicure. The collection was also scattered with waist chains linked with pearls, as well as matching chokers.
The 29-year-old women’s wear designer snagged the LVMH Prize for Young Designers and the British Fashion Council Award for emerging talent in 2021 and has swiftly gained a reputation for her barely-there mesh and cutout confections. She studied lingerie design in her BA program before moving on to Central Saint Martins, where she went on to launch her eponymous label in 2017. Dojaka has cemented herself as a celebrity favorite in the last year with fashion darlings Zendaya, Hailey Bieber, and Beyoncé all wearing her designs.
The day before, Ratajkowski walked the runway for J.W. Anderson’s Spring/Summer 2023 show presented in a London casino, wearing an oversized black tee with two dorsal fins emerging from the back, with distressed (yet sequin-embellished) baggy jeans, and lime-green Croc-like shoes.
We can’t wait to see who she walks for next.
