While Emily Ratajkowski might make new motherhood look effortless – what with her relaxed street style and penchant for donning spill-magnet designer looks while breastfeeding – it’s comforting to know that like a lot of women, she has encountered changes to her skin while pregnant and since giving birth back in March.

For many new mothers, the spate of internal shifts that occur as a result of your body adapting to growing and birthing a child can have a significant impact on your skin. While we’ve all heard of the ‘pregnancy glow’ as your hormones adjust, it’s common for women to experience breakouts postpartum.

In response to her own changing complexion, Ratajkowski recently shared her “skin savior,” which she says soothed her skin both through pregnancy and her first months of motherhood. “Obsessed with @truebotanicals Calm Pure Radiance Oil. It’s been my skin savior while pregnant and breastfeeding,” she wrote in an Instagram post about the product.

She also spoke to the natural ingredients, before emphasizing the fact that the product was suitable for both her and son Sylvester. “Made with nourishing, calming and deeply hydrating seed oils and certified SAFE for both baby and me,” Ratajkowski wrote.

The model has been sharing a lot of her journey as a new mama to her son on social media, having recently shared several heartwarming snaps of her breastfeeding her little one. “If it seems like I’m always breastfeeding it’s because I am,” she wrote alongside a photo of her with her baby, who is her first child with husband Sebastian Bear-McClard.

Speaking candidly during her pregnancy announcement last October, Ratajkowski wrote, “I’m completely and undeniably helpless when it comes to almost everything surrounding my pregnancy: how my body will change, who my child will be. But I’m surprisingly unbothered. Instead of feeling afraid, I feel a new sense of peace. I’m already learning from this person inside my body. I’m full of wonder.”

Now if she could just drop the full postpartum skincare routine, we’d be forever grateful.
