Overnight in Milan, the Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans star delivered her latest iteration of sensual dressing with a bejewelled spin on the ‘naked’ silhouette and exposed underwear trend. Moore attended Dolce & Gabbana’s 40th-anniversary party in Italy’s swanky fashion capital wearing a body-conscious gown even Botticelli would approve of.
The column-shaped naked dress was made of an intricate net punctuated with crystals that covered her body. The Hollywood mainstay paired a black balconette-style bra and high-rise briefs underneath the gown. If there was any assumption that barely-there partywear would be relegated to the sidelines in 2024, Moore has eschewed it. And at 61 years old, Moore’s decision to not hide her ageing figure under layers of fabric might just be the most empowering take on the trend yet. In a society so fixated on youth, radically showcasing the female form at every age and stage is feasibly the most rebellious thing a woman can do. That’s just the naked truth.
