On this season of The Bachelor, 32 women are competing for the heart (and that potential Neil Lane diamond ring) of 29-year-old real estate broker and entrepreneur, Matt James. The North Carolina native is the show’s first Black Bachelor which, needless to say, is overdue considering the series in now in its 25th season.
As each season goes, limos pull up to a mansion filled with carbon copied women in glittery floor length prom-like dresses and long extensions, hoping to make a dazzling first impression on their potential future husband. But this time around, one women totally stood out.
Forgoing the limo, a 21 year-old contestant named Kit from New York City arrived in a Bentley. In an Emily In Paris meets Carrie Bradshaw moment, the petite blonde donned a $795 Cynthia Rowley mini-dress featuring pale pink to cream ombre ostrich feathers, sheer organza at neckline, waist tie and keyhole back. Whoa, FASH-ION!
Even Chris Harrison took notice. During his “Meet the Women” live stream in December, the show’s host described Kit as among the “best dressed” women to ever appear on the show.
Naturally, we had to deep dive into who the hell this tres chic chick was and it soon became abundantly clear just where she gets her sense of style. Kit Clementine Keenan is the daughter of acclaimed fashion designer ,Cynthia Rowley (hence the fab frock), and Brooklyn-based interior designer, Bill Keenan. A New York University college student and an aspiring fashion designer herself, Keenan currently hosts a mother-daughter podcast on Spotify called Ageless.
“Kit hasn’t had a serious relationship since her first love in high school, but that’s only because she hasn’t found a man who can measure up to the level of emotional intelligence she needs,” her ABC bio reads. “She’s found that most guys she meets don’t match her maturity level, and although she is only 21, she is very ready for a serious commitment. Kit is looking for a man who is genuine, open and honest. She is a straight shooter who has no interest in anyone who is fake or indirect. This badass woman wants to find someone who can keep up with her witty banter and hold their own in the New York social scene. Kit knows that she has high standards, but she has no doubt that Matt will be able to live up to the hype.”
It also states she can surf in high heels, is the first to admit she has a horrible resting bitch face and says men in flip-flops make her mad (PREACH GIRL).
So, can we give her a rose ourselves? She may be our new reality TV spirit animal. So far, Keenan, who is the youngest woman looking for love on the season, took part in the first group date and survived the first two rounds of cuts.
