Tequila lovers, take note: there is a luxury omakase experience from Clase Azul México, the beloved brand known for authentic tequila and mezcal in beautiful hand-painted bottles. Located in Los Cabos, Clase Azul La Terraza is a must for all lovers of the sprits and Mexican culture, thanks to the boutique, restaurant, bar, omakase experience and so much more.

Doors opened in October 2022 as part of the brand’s hospitality arm Clase Azul Destinations. Ever since, Clase Azul La Terraza has been inviting guests to experience the most authentic expression of the brand, which was founded in 1997 in Guadalajara, Jalisco by Arturo Lomelí, who was determined to create a product as exquisite as the land it comes from. Now available in 59 countries — including Mexico, the United States, Canada, France, Spain, Greece, the United Kingdom, South Korea and Australia — Clase Azul has gained a much-deserved following and if often seen gracing the back bars at high-end venues around the world.

Inspired by the encounter between land and ocean, Clase Azul Los Cabos, located at The Shoppes at Palmilla, incorporates its natural surroundings to complement a fully sensorial, contemporary and welcoming space. “We exist to captivate the world through the magic of Mexican culture, and our distillates are just the beginning,” says Arturo Lomeli, founder of Clase Azul México. “We want to create spaces where our brand comes to life.”

As to be expected, there is no shortage of drinking and dining experiences at Clase Azul La Terraza. Clase Azul Restaurant, curated by Clase Azul México’s in-house Creative Chef Iván Arias, features dishes born from his culinary team’s journey through the Baja California peninsula. All ingredients are sourced regionally, forming a network with local producers to promote practices like sustainable business and fair trade.

At El Bar, the property’s which watering hole, guests are encouraged to enjoy Clase Azul tequila and mezcal as they were meant to be: sipped neat. But at El Bar, Clase Azul will now offer guests an adventure through mixology with Head Mixologist Sheila Zenteno, who has crafted a line up of exquisite cocktails inspired by delicacies unique to the region of La Baja. El Bar also offers a selection of artisanal beers and small- batch wines sourced from local winemakers with unique offerings.

For the main culinary event at Clase Azul La Terraza, look no further than the Clase Azul Omakase, a six-person bar born out of love for the Asian cuisine which has long influenced the gastronomy of La Baja. Omakase — which can be translated as “I’ll leave it up to you” — is a fusion of traditions and cultures that resonate with care, reverence and love. Chef Iván Arias has transformed these influences in order to achieve a custom selection of fourteen courses prepared at the hands of the chef, with a Mexican touch.

While visiting Class Azul La Terraza, a stop at the shop is a must. The newly re-imagined Boutique at Clase Azul Los Cabos is the quintessential store — with lots of tequila. This is where lucky guests can score limited-edition Clase Azul products not available elsewhere, along with handcrafted souvenirs to bring home. In addition to the boutique at Clase Azul Los Cabos, an outpost of the Clase Azul Boutique is open on the international departures floor of Terminal 2 of Los Cabos International Airport, perfect for any last minute shopping (or tequila tasting).
