Chlöe
Chlöe, ‘Have Mercy’ cover

“Behold the next supreme” or whatever THE Jessica Lange said in the now iconic “AHS: Coven” season. Who are we referring to you may ask? Chlöe (like Prince, formally known as, Chloe Bailey)! Chlöe—yes, of superstar duo Chloe x Halle—just dropped her new, highly anticipated single, ‘Have Mercy’, the debut offering from her upcoming solo project, complete with a stunning visual. The Chlöe and Murda Beatz co-produced track, which was teased by Bailey this summer over social media, is hypnotic, the harmonies are transcendent—per usual—the bass is bumping, and the hook is super catchy. What more could you ask for in a track? It’s really a hit that extends our vaxxed girl summer agenda, right into the fall.

The visual is equal parts campy teen horror, mixed with “The House Bunny”, meets “Scream Queens”, with a little Grecian mythology mixed in, and even features a cameo from Ms. Tina herself—I mean that alone is iconic! Aside from the cinematic undertones and narrative of the video, it’s also jam packed with gorgeous looks. Lots and lots of truly stunning looks and accessories. The wardrobing reads like a fashion editorial, and made us fall even more in love with the record.

As, we’re suckers for stellar wardrobing, here we spotlight some of the major looks from video:

To coincide with the vampy, siren vibes of the visual, Ms. Bailey rocked this headdress from Maximilian.

Listen, we can’t get enough of this collection—I mean Bella has worn it, Cynthia Erivo, Noah Cyrus—so Chlöe wearing this matador inspired dress, did it for us!

Chlöe rocks this 80s inspired gold lamé cropped bolero from Alexandre Vauthier’s Fall 2020 couture collection, and it’s giving us a nod to the 80’s dark teen comedy, “The Heathers”.

Ok enough of us gushing about the FASHIONS. See the video (and looks) for yourself:

Chlöe turning men to stone, twerking in couture and channeling her inner “Scream Queen”—oh yeah, turn this one up. The Grammy nominated singer is set to perform ‘Have Mercy’ at the MTV VMAs on Sunday, September 12. We can’t wait!

NYFW may almost be over, but this track is a must for any fashion week playlist. ‘Have Mercy’ is available to stream on all platforms.
