Last week Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes announced an unexpected split after their two year relationship. The “Havana” singer wasted no time in her post-breakup glow up with a drastic hair transformation and accompanying make up. On Instagram, Cabello surprised fans when she debuted minty locks.
“I clean up ok,” the artist wrote on social media. It is unknown whether the new color from celebrity hair stylist Dimitri Giannetos is the work of a wig or permanent dye.
The new ‘do was paired with an iridescent eyeshadow color by Patrick Ta which reflects hues of pink and green. Impressively, her ruffled top also matched. The award-winning singer is no stranger to a hair transformation. In October 2020 Cabello chopped her long hair for the return of the shaggy lob.
In September, Irina Shayk debuted a bob and choppy bangs following her split from Kanye West after a two-month fling. At the Met Gala days later the Russian model also opted for a pixie cut but more recent photographs suggests that glow up was the work of a very good wig.
Cabello and Mendes announced their split on November 18 though there were rumors it occurred a few weeks prior.
“Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever,” the couple wrote on their respective social media accounts. “We started out relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward.”
A source for People said the reason behind the split was mutual and that the relationship had simply run its course. “It just wasn’t a relationship that can move forward at this point,” the insider told the publication. “It seems the romance just fizzled.”
