Italian luxury house Bulgari is celebrating one of its most perennial emblematic icons — the Serpenti snake, which has wrapped itself around the Roman High Jeweler’s most enchanting pieces for the last 75 years.

In honor of the diamond anniversary of the brand’s trademark Serpenti motif, Bulgari unveiled its Serpenti 75 Years of Infinite Tales exhibition in New York City’s Meatpacking District, running from June 8 through July 16. The installation has already made its way to Milan, London and Madrid.

“We are delighted to bring this exhibition to New York City,” Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin said. “We look forward to celebrating to journey of Serpenti here in New York’s Meatpacking Disctrict, where visitors can fully immerse themselves in the past, present and future of this exceptional global icon.”

The sprawling pop-up retrospective will highlight the snake’s endless creative influence on the house’s jewelry, art and design – even showcasing exclusive new works to emphasize its unshakable hold. From East to West, the snake has been a timeless source of inspiration, evoking a seductive nature.

Bulgari commissioned Turkish-American media artist and director Refik Anadol to create an immersive and innovative AI data sculpture, dubbed Serpenti Metamorphosis, which will be shown in the exhibit space.

Founded in Rome in 1884 by the Greek silversmith Sotitio Bulgari, the jewelry house swiftly established a reputation for Italian excellence with exceptional craftsmanship and exquisite jewelry creations. Since 1948, Bulgari’s stylish sinuous Serpenti coils have been embedded in the house’s legacy – first appearing in the form of watches, crafted with the Tubogas technique.

Beloved by arguably the most recognizable jewelry connoisseur, actress Elizabeth Taylor, Bulgari launched the Serpenti into another level of fame.

Seven unique High Jewelry pieces will be included in the exhibit, as well as  a selection of 25 rare Serpenti creations from the Bulgari Heritage collection.

Lately, the jewelry house has been causing a stir with its luxe events, including one last week for the Bulgari Hotel Roma opening with ambassadors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Zendaya in attendance.
