Beyoncé is a beauty icon, so it’s no surprise that her daughter, Blue Ivy, is becoming one, too. She may only be nine years old, but she already has a devoted client: her grandmother, Tina Knowles. Over the past few years, the pre-teen’s family has teased followers with select photos documenting her budding beauty skills. Ahead, GRAZIA’s rounded up all of these moments in one place, so you can see for yourself how her abilities have evolved.

January 2021: Cat-eye liner

While a large majority of the world has accepted defeat when it comes to conquering the art of cat-eye liner, nine-year-old Blue Ivy has proven herself fearless—and skilled. We haven’t yet seen a photo of Beyoncé’s daughter wearing winged eyeliner, but she did, however, give her grandmother a cat-eye, along with a full-fledged makeover.

On Thursday, January 28, Tina shared a selfie to show off her glam. In the pic, she soft-smiles with black winged eyeliner and mascara and blush and bold red lipstick. “My talented granddaughter Blue made up my face today,” Beyoncé’s mom captioned the post. “She is only 9 years old can you imagine her at 15 doing my makeup? She Beat My Face ❤️Gonna save me a lot of money on makeup artist fees 😂❤️.”

Naturally, Tina’s 2.8 million Instagram followers praised Blue Ivy’s work in the comments section. “No way! How did she do that eyeliner????” wrote a fan. Another said, “Wow she did a really good job!!! A diva in the making.” The Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award winner has been honing her skills for years.

OCTOBER 2020: HALLOWEEN MAKEUP

Around Halloween, when Blue Ivy was just seven years old, she turned her grandmother into a spooky skeleton, proving that a career in special effects makeup isn’t out of the question. Tina shared a selfie of the look on Instagram and captioned it, “My Blue is a great makeup artist! She made me into Grandma Skeleton.”

March 2016: experimenting with glam

At just four-years-old, Blue Ivy was familiar with products inside of her mom’s makeup bag. Beyoncé shared a photo of her daughter swiping on pink lipstick, with multicolored Euphoria-like gemstones around her eyes and black eyeliner in her crease.
