All the stars came out for the 2023 Time 100 Gala in New York City on Wednesday evening, and the most influential artists, innovators, titans, leaders, icons, and pioneers of the year being honored came dressed to impress.
Hosted by Jennifer Coolidge, the annual event brought out a slew of stars including Doja Cat, Lea Michele and notables on the 2023 Time 100 list including The White Lotus’ Aubrey Plaza, Angela Bassett, Drew Barrymore, Michael B. Jordan and many more. One guest who made us do a triple-check with her look was none other than Kim Kardashian (naturally).
The Kardashians star always knows how to spice up a minimalist look to maximum effect. The SKIMS founder floated down the carpet in an angelic ivory bias-cut silk slip dress by John Galliano, featuring small rhinestone-studded rectangular buckles on the straps.
Adding extra sparkle to the ensemble, Kardashian layered on the bling with multiple necklaces including a cross pendant, a pear-shaped diamond on a silver chain and rows of pearl and diamond pieces, as well as a dazzling array of diamond rings. We also couldn’t help but notice that she carried a plexiglass conch clutch from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection, ahead of the 2023 Met Gala honoring the Parisian fashion house’s head designer Karl Lagerfeld.
Despite rumors, Kardashian will, in fact, attend the Met Ball on the first Monday in May. On Wednesday, the reality television royal teased photos of a visit to Lagerfeld’s office in Paris, posting selfies with the designer’s cat, Choupette. “Had a date with @choupetteofficiel in Paris,” she wrote. “We then spent some time at @karllagerfeld’s office to get a little inspiration for the Met.” The 2023 Met Gala exhibition is entitled “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” while the dress code is “in honor of Karl.”
