As someone who has lived in sweatpants for what feels like a year straight, Bella Hadid’s dedication to wearing actual pants amazes me. Just last week, the 24-year-old supermodel wore white leather pants to make snow angels, and now, she’s revived one of our favorite pieces from her wardrobe: her Playboy trousers.
The statement-making pants feature the magazine’s January 1970 cover starring Debbie Ellison, in an all-over collage print. For the cover, shot by Playboy magazine staff photographer Pompeo Posar, the model wore a turquoise blue shirt and made a peace sign while smiling at the camera.
Hadid’s trousers are a collaboration between Playboy and the Danish label Soulland, which was founded by Silas Adler in 2002. The brand unveiled the collection to the public in September 2019.
On Wednesday, December 23, the model was photographed in Manhattan wearing the loose-fitting bottoms. She teamed them with a preppy yellow and red sweater that says “Victoria” in uppercase font, as well as narrow sunglasses, gold jewelry, and a protective face mask. The most interesting part of the look was a composition notebook that she tucked under her arm.
Proving that she can make a piece work no matter the season, Hadid was also spotted in the pants this past July. At the time, she wore a white, cropped long-sleeve shirt styled with a small orange Telfar Shopping Bag.
