Le Detresse Summer Trip Celebration at Dante Seaport

Bella Hadid always delivers a constant stream of street style inspo. Lately she showed us all how to nail the summer whites look, and most recently recreated a very Sandy from Grease vibe on the beach in France. Last Thursday, she sported another outfit we want to get in our closets, stat, and thankfully, it’s available to shop now.

Hadid was on-hand to celebrate her sister Alana Hadid’s fashion label, La Detresse, which Alana co-founded with Emily Perlstein. The intimate sunset soirée took place at Dante Seaport sponsored by Martini & Rossi, where guests including Euphoria star Chloe Cherry, Samantha Ronson, Maria Alia, artist Jonboy, and more, toasted to the success of the line, its seasonal pop-up and new Summer Trip collection.

But for Alana, the night was all about saying thanks to their supporters. “One of the things about tonight — and every time we’ve done an event — it’s more about giving back to the people who have supported us,” Alana told GRAZIA USA. “It’s less about the brand and more about thanking them. This collection, specifically, we’re thanking the people who have supported us, so every piece is named after someone who has supported us and the brand.”

Alana and Perlstein established the brand in 2017 after they bonded over their shared backgrounds in styling. They were both searching for the perfect denim jacket, so they founded La Detresse in Los Angeles, which focuses on denim and knitwear pieces.

Their new collection is all about highlighting their supporters. There’s a “Jackie Terry Short,” and an “Adam Breakthrough Pullover,” as well as a “Gigi Cenotes Tank Dress,” named after Alana’s sister Gigi Hadid. (Alana, Bella and Gigi’s father is Mohamed Hadid.)

With palm tree and tie-dye prints, the new collection features breathable fabrics and bold colors. While Perlstein opted for the “Mary Turks Shirt Dress,” Alana paired the “Jordan Buttondown” and the “Lou Short” with bright green and blue cowboy boots. Wearing the same print as her big sister, Bella donned the “Alex Cenotes Tee” with the “Van Cenotes Bikeshort” under a black croc leather jacket and knee-high leather boots.
