Balenciaga shows are known to attract attention (remember the post-apocalyptic setting of the last runway presentation?). So it doesn’t come as a surprise that the brand’s latest catwalk also has everyone talking. Balenciaga’s creative director, Demna, showed his first collection for the brand state-side and picked a very fitting Americana setting for the milestone, Wall Street.

Taking place at the New York Stock Exchange, Demna’s venue set the tone for the show, which featured models stomping the stock exchange floor in place of the regular 9-5 day trader.

Many notable names turned out including Alexa Demie, Megan Thee Stallion, Kanye West, Offset, Chloë Sevigny and her hubby Siniša Mačković, Orville Peck, Frank Ocean, Lauryn Hill, Alton Mason, Candice Swanepoel, naturally, all dressed in Balenciaga.

One guest that surprised the crowd was from Netflix’s hit show Selling Sunset, Christine Quinn. The reality star, who just had an eventful past season (no spoiler alerts here), showed up almost unrecognizable, swapping her over-the-top colorful looks for a minimal LBD with built-in gloves, calf-high boots, and reflective visor sunnies. Quinn was spotted inside, cozying up next to Anna Wintour, Kanye West, and Marc Jacobs in the front row.

As for the show itself, models fully covered in latex bodysuits walked through the trading floor-turned runway, sporting everything from sequin eveningwear, to sportswear pieces from adidas (a surprise brand collaboration!).

There were also oversized pussybows, bold structured tailoring and glittering floor-length gowns (matching head mask included) inspired by the luxury maison’s recent couture relaunch.
