Whether you’re a Vanderpump Rules fan or not, by now, you’ve heard about the cheating scandal that rocked the cast of the show. The drama was so unfathomable to loyal viewers, that the waves it made in the Bravo universe rippled into news coverage everywhere. (Even The New York Times did a piece on it!) To catch you up to speed: Ariana Madix discovered that her partner of nine years Tom Sandoval had an affair with their castmate Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, who has been a close friend of the couple. The whole thing has been dubbed “Scandoval” and viewers will finally see what exactly is happening between the co-stars in the upcoming season 10 reunion.
This week, the network revealed everyone’s outfit at the reunion taping and Ariana Madix showed up in a look that redefines the term “revenge dress.” (Remember, the whole phrase started when Princess Diana wore the off-the-shoulder LBD by Christina Stambolian at the time when Prince Charles’ affair was being exposed, which ushered in her post-divorce era style.)
Madix showed up and showed out in a two-piece Mônot design that showed off her killer abs with risqué cutouts across the bodice. The long-sleeves and skirt meant that she didn’t show too much skin, making it refined and sexy — the perfect combination for confronting a cheating ex if you ask us. The look consisted of a red cropped jacket (which is almost sold out on fwrd.com) and cutout long pencil skirt (also nearly sold out).
Mônot is known for its sexy, cutout gowns and this particular look has been worn by others in Hollywood before. Last year, Elsa Hosk wore a white version to the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar afterparty and more recently, Halle Bailey wore the red look to a pre-Oscars party last month.
Madix arrived for hair and makeup before the reunion in an outfit that also made a statement. She was photographed getting out of a car wearing a sweatsuit from the L.A.-based brand Boys Lie that had the words “1-800-BOYS-LIE” on the hoodie and “We’re sorry the number you’re trying to reach has moved on” written on the pants.
Whether wearing tell-it-like-it-is sweats or an abs-baring design, Madix is letting her style do all the talking.
