Anne Hathaway just went from walking the film festival red carpet at Cannes to filming her next one! On Thursday, the Academy Award-winning actress was spotted on set of her new movie, Mother’s Instinct, along with her costar, fellow Oscar winner Jessica Chastain.
The actresses were filming in New Jersey and both looked incredibly chic in their ’60s-inspired ensembles and hairstyles.
Hathaway looked very “Jackie O,” with her coiffed ‘do, wearing a bright blue cap-sleeve dress with matching pumps, white gloves, top-handle handbag and cat-eye shades.
Chastain had her hair styled in a bun, wearing a mint green collared sundress, with a handbag and white heels.
According to Deadline, Mother’s Instinct is a remake of Olivier Masset-Depasse’s 2018 Belgian film Duelles and based off the novel, Derrière la Haine by Barbara Abel. Set in the early 1960s, Hathaway and Chastain’s characters, Celina and Alice, are best friends and neighbors. They both live perfect lives with successful husbands and have sons the same age. But one day, tragedy strikes, and paranoia and suspicion break their “sisterly bond.”
Filming comes hot off of Hathaway’s dazzling appearances at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. She stepped out for the premiere of her film, Armageddon Time, in a custom white strapless column gown with an accompanying silk shawl. But the real showstopper was her Bulgari necklace featuring a 100,000-carat sapphire.
Following the memorable moment, the actress was named Bulgari’s new brand ambassador and starred in a newest campaign video titled, Unexpected Wonders, alongside Zendaya.
There is no official release date for Mother’s Instinct yet, but since filming just started this week, we hope there are more on-set photos to come.
