Aleali May is back with another collaboration, and once again, I’m completely obsessed. Following her Air Jordan 1 High Zoom “Califia” collaboration (inspired by her childhood drill team) earlier this year, Aleali May is again partnering with the Chicago-based brand on a new and equally personal collab launching August 19.

The 29-year old designed the collection entitled “Fortune” as a love letter to her family’s Filipina and black heritage. The standout of the collab is a rendition of the iconic Air Jordan 14 Low sneakers. May reimagines the sneakers with lavish gold and green-blue jade elements, a node to a bracelet given to her by her grandmother. May’s Jordan 14’s are complete with marbled green midsole molds, which if it weren’t for the press release, I would guess was actual jade—yeah, it’s that good.

“Throughout my collaborations, I always try to go back and say thank you to whoever was supporting me at the time,” May says in a statement shared with GRAZIA. “My grandmother on my dad’s side gifted me gold and jade bangles that she’d had for 20 years before that. As a young girl, my grandmother on my mom’s side also gifted me her jade bangles. Those were my first pieces of jewelry.”

Of course, we can’t forget about the apparel. The collection includes a short-sleeved t-shirt, cropped tank top, biker shorts, and a crew shirt and shorts, all seamlessly matching lavish May’s Jordan 14’s. “My dad used to pick me up from school on his bike,” says May in a video interview. Her love for biker culture witnessed growing up in central Los Angeles is translated into each piece.

May’s Jordan 14’s will be dropping on August 19 nationwide. Hope you’re fortunate enough to land a pair, May’s collaborations with the sportswear brand are known to sell out pretty fast. Ahead, check out May and her adorable fam in the collaboration campaign video.
