Partying all night long after running around at shows all day—Now, that takes skill. You know what else takes skill? Creating those playlists to keep you going all night long. So, naturally, we enlisted iconic DJ Duo Leigh Lezark and Geordon Nicol of The Misshapes to let us know what we should be listening to this New York Fashion Week.
The duo who defined the mid-aughts nightlife scene has been around since 2003 when they met as college students founded one of New York City’s most iconic dance parties. Leigh and Geordon catered to the downtown club kids and celebrities at their home venue located at 21 Seventh Avenue South in the West Village. Which fun fact: The two first started throwing these parties at the venue before they were even 21.
Quickly the two found themselves soundtracking runway shows and DJ’ing after-parties for designers like Jeremy Scott, Karl Lagerfeld, and Christian Cowan. The Misshapes also continue their reign of most attend parties (now legally of age); most recently, they brought out Madonna to the legendary party haven, Boom Boom Room, for a night we’ll never forget.
