In the last 24 hours, the UAE experienced the worst storm it’s seen since records began 75 years ago.

With over 255mm of rainfall, the amount of precipitation the country usually withstands over two years was packed into just a day.

Wreaking havoc across the city, gripping videos of flooded streets, submerged vehicles and even flying furniture have taken over our feeds.

Adding to the niche, yet jaw-dropping, rain content are the celebs of Dubai, who are sharing what their day in the storm looked like. From leaking homes to getting stuck in hip-deep waters, the adored stars also got a slice of the commotion.

Mona Kattan

Mona Kattan showed her followers a glimpse of her stunning home being swarmed by the powerful rain and wind on Tuesday night. The Dubai Bling star also ensured to ask her UAE-based followers how they were doing during the wild weather.

Karen Wazen

Dubai-based entrepreneur Karen Wazen shared snippets of the chaos that ensued inside her home due to the UAE storm. The mother-of-three showcased buckets scattered around her villa to manage leaks occurring. “The house is floating, this is insane,” she exclaimed as she entered her flooded doorway later that night with plastic bags wrapped around her legs.

Alanoud Badr

Alanoud Badr, known as Fozaza on Instagram, had a rather dangerous situation on her hands in the middle of the history-making storm. When her vehicle got stuck in the middle of knee-length waters, she had to walk across the flood to escape the floods. Panning to her Chanel rainboots, she warned her followers to avoid the roads saying, “Guys I beg you don’t leave the house… even for a second.”

The Dubai celebs had their buckets ready in this storm, as MinaAl Sheikhly shared on her Instagram account she lined multiple corners of her home with rainfall-catching reinforcements. Showcasing the thundering rain in her area, the beauty entrepreneur also added some sweet snippets of her puppy who managed to get caught in the downpour.

Surrounded by deafening winds, The Real Housewives of Dubai star Caroline Stanbury filmed the fallen palm trees and chaotic scenes from her floor-to-ceiling windows. Accompanied by her husband Sergio, they catch a moment of genuine shock when the overpowering thunder rattled the house.

While Dubai is known to be a city of convenience, when there is rain that comes to a complete halt, which Dubai Bling star Safa Siddiqui highlighted on her Instagram story. “I really want French Fries and they’re not delivering anything to our house,” she declared yesterday. Walking through the mall, she enlisted the help of her ever-adoring husband to journey through the storm to silence her starchy cravings. Fahad even tried to enter a shutting-down Waitrose, in search of his wife’s french fries, but to no avail.
