Building on their extremely popular upcycled, rental-only “Ganni x Levi’s Love Letter” collection launched in 2020, Ganni and Levi’s are back with a second collaboration.

Capturing the cool-girl aesthetic that beautifully calibrates both femininity and boyish charm, Danish contemporary brand Ganni has time and time again proved that they can make even lockdown dressing feel aspirational. Juxtaposing that with Levi’s’ all-American denim legacy, the resulting collection effortlessly plays off the brands’ mutual appreciation for one another, combining their signature design details, with each piece featuring the Ganni x Levi’s unique back patch. The end result is an edit of iconic jean styles, Peter Pan-collared denim dresses, 70s-inspired silhouettes and limited-edition Ganni prints. The collection comes in a range of washes, with dresses, tops and jackets bolstering the denim offering while the Ganni look comes through loud and clear thanks to the brand’s signature oversized ruffle-trimmed collars on shirts and dresses, off-the-shoulder tops and printed denims.

The campaign perfectly encapsulates the bond between the brands. Life-sized cut-outs of a diverse cast of models showcase the collection at quintessential landmarks in Ganni’s hometown of Copenhagen and Levi’s’ HQ in San Francisco, all at once tapping into a momentary desire for travel which seamlessly blends humour, joie-de-vivre and pandemic-induced surrealism.

If the cult-in-the-making Ganni x Levi’s branding is not enough to have you clicking ‘Add to cart’, the reduced environmental impact of the edit should give these eco-aware designs an edge over other denim on your wishlist. Each timeless piece is crafted from a new cotton hemp fabric which has the archetypal denim feel but requires less water and fewer pesticides than the traditional cotton used to make denim, resulting in a much smaller CO2 impact.
