Featuring Arab designers, bustling works and renowned names the celebs at Saudi Arabia’s Joy Awards made some noise this year.

From film to sports to fashion, the Kingdom’s Award ceremony honours the extraordinary work of industry leaders across the world. And it continues to attract big names, as moguls and A-listers flocked to the iconic lavender carpet over the weekend in Riyadh.

GRAZIA walks you through some of the best looks of the night as the Hollywood stars continue their romance with trailblazing Arab designers.

Georgina Rodriguez

From Cardi B to Beyoncé, the Albanian designer Lena Berisha has contoured the bodies of Hollywood A-listers for some time. At this honouring event was the globally adored Riyadh-based superstar Georgina Rodriguez.

The long-time partner of legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo wore a dazzling crystallised strapless gown with velvet gloves and a statement multilayered diamond necklace by Chopard.

Dorra Zarrouk

A consistent best dressed in GRAZIA‘s books, the talented Tunisian actress embodied the red gown trend at this event. Dorra Zarrouk wore a scarlet red velvet gown by the Lebanese couture label Antoine Kareh.

With drape detailing, one full sleeve and a wrap-around neckline, this dress was elegant yet undeniably unique. It spoke its own language as the beaut paired it with dangling earrings and a sleek updo.

John Cena & Shay Shariatzadeh

A celebrity power couple also graced the lavender carpet at Saudi Arabia’s Joy Awards this year. John Cena and his wife of three years Shay Shariatzadeh, wore coordinated couple outfits, in the coolest way.

Though the designer is unspecified, Shay’s gown incorporated a matching tuxedo motif on the upper portion of the dress. Finishing with a clutch and chunky timepiece, the gown balanced masculine and feminine featured with a creative edge.

Eva Longoria

Another bedazzled dress makes an appearance on the Joy Awards celeb-studded occasion as Eva Longoria stuns yet again. Winning the platform’s prestigious Personality of the Year Award, Eva wore a padded shoulder crystalized black gown to honour her directorial debut, Flamin’ Hot.

Styled by the celebrity-loved Maeve Reilly, she quite literally twinkled throughout the night in this number.

Another one secured by the Lebanese creative powerhouse, Nour AlGhandour poses in a piece from Antoine Kareh. From their Velvet Mystery Collection, this two-part ensemble oozed a regal aura at every level.

Seductive yet elegant, the strapless gown had a sheer boing top that pulled at the bottom of the torso before spilling into a velvet skirt. This was paired with a dramatic cape which definitely made a statement.

Carmen Bsaibes

The power of red holds true for the Lebanese actress and director Carmen Bsaibes as she graced the carpet in a chiffon floor-length dress. Traditional yet bringing the drama with those elongated sleeves, she wore the work of a renowned designer from her home country. True to Elie Saab’s untouchable calibre, this dress has all the elements of a stunning dress with some added subtle distinct touches. Simultaneously simple and marvelous the Lebanese designer does it again.

Yara Alnamlah

From Paris Haute Couture Week to the inaugural Riyadh Fashion Week, the Saudi-based fashion designer Yara Alnamlah wore encapsulated the whole audience.

This Tima Abid masterpiece had layers and levels to it. From the velvet overthrow-esq piece, that pulled in with a skinny belt, to the dramatic puffy sleeves. Let’s not even mention the dainty lace details by the palms and the large gems that entangle the collar. This ensemble is nothing short of a triumph by the burgeoning Saudi designer.

Last but no means least for the celebs at Saudi Arabia’s Joy Awards is the Egyptian actress Hannah El-Zahed. In another strapless dress by yet another Lebanese designer, this Nour Fathallah gown features the designer’s signature triangular neckline.
