Queen Rania Shares Annual Family Holiday Portrait

The Jordanian royals are wishing everyone “happiness, hope and good health” for the New Year.

In the latest Instagram post shared by Queen Rania, the mother-of-four is pictured alongside King Abdullah II, Crown Prince Hussein, Princess Iman, Princess Salma and Prince Hashem. The family write, “May the threads of happiness, hope and good health weave together your New Year.”

Looking chic as always, the three women are all clad in London-based label Roksanda. Her Majesty is wearing the Ophelia white silk dress, which she has paired with the Etro Leather Trimmed Brown/Cream Embroidered Cotton-Canvas wait belt.

On the left, Princess Iman is wearing a Bottega veneta red shirt dress, Roksanda copper-plated belt and Bottega Veneta belt in Barolo Intrecciato Calf Leather. Princess Salma wears the Roksanda belted shirred jersey dress.

The day before releasing the family portrait, Queen Rania shared a video on social media of how their greeting cards were made this year. The video depicts Queen Rania working with a group of local artisans, who came together to create these cards using elegant embroidery patterns from traditional Jordan dresses, known as thobes. “Our greeting cards this year carry different embroidery patterns from our traditional thobes. Individually, each presents a part of our diverse cultural heritage, but combined they create the rich and resilient tapestry that is Jordan,” she wrote.

“Over the past few months, we worked with a group of talented artisans from around Jordan who channeled their passion and patriotism into each piece of embroidery – grateful to each one of you!”
