The competition

The Miss Universe Bahrain organization, led by National Director Josh M. Yugen, aims to redefine beauty standards and challenge stereotypes. The competition not only focuses on physical beauty but also highlights the contestants’ intellect, compassion, and societal contributions. This year’s event, held in Mexico, continues to celebrate empowered women who embody the spirit of the modern Bahraini woman.

The voting process

In an innovative twist, the Miss Universe Bahrain 2024 competition has integrated public voting through the Choicely app. This allows fans from Bahrain and around the world to participate in the selection process, emphasizing the inclusive nature of the competition. Voting was open from July 5 to August 5, with the final results set to be announced in September. This initiative aims to engage the community and celebrate the diverse talents of Bahraini women.

The Finalists

Advaita Shetty (28)

Advaita is a professional audiologist passionate about hearing health. She has previously placed as the first runner-up in both Miss New Zealand 2022 and Miss Universe Bahrain 2023. Her goal is to use her platform to raise awareness about audiology and inspire young women to pursue careers in healthcare.

Kiara Chhabra (27)

Ola (24)

Karina Ivanova (27)

Shereen Ahmed (26)

Shereen Ahmed, a returning contestant, previously secured the 2nd runner-up position in Miss Universe Bahrain 2022. At 29, she is a seasoned TV presenter, content creator, and model with 14 years of experience. Shereen’s diverse interests include cycling, poetry, writing, and spontaneous travel. She is passionate about making a difference and is particularly committed to empowering single mothers in Bahrain. Her multifaceted career and advocacy work make her a strong contender in this year’s competition.
