In case you missed it, the 2023 Oscars After Party had a lot going on, including a now-redhead Megan Fox.
Of all the talking points to come out of Vanity Fair‘s annual event—exes reuniting, engagement rumours and bombshell outfits we won’t soon forget (Hunter Schafer, we’re looking at you)—Fox’s transformation stole the show.
Skipping the blue carpet photo op, the actress hard-launched a new look while wearing a plunging velvet gown by Miss Sohee and sky-high platforms by Piferi. Her fiery red hair can only be seen in a handful of snaps taken at the A-list soiree with Billie Eilish and other guests, but photographer Cibelle Levi later uploaded a series of stunning images of the actress in her outfit.
And, of course, such a major departure from her signature raven locks was always bound to turn heads.
What also didn’t go unnoticed was Fox’s solo attendance. Amid reports that the actress and her fiancé Machine Gun Kelly are still figuring out their future as a couple, fans have speculated the potential of her new ‘do being a post-breakup hair transformation. But according to souces, things between the pair remain intact for now.
While the musician’s absence was due to his show in Dana Point, California that evening, Entertainment Tonight reported last week that Fox and Kelly’s relationship continues to be up in the air. “[They] still have trust issues to work through,” a source told the outlet. “They have a lot to work out before they can think about moving forward together as partners. MGK really loves Megan, and he is hopeful that they can get to a better place and be happy together. He knows he is going to have to go above and beyond to reconcile things with her.”
Rumours of a split were first sparked by Fox, who suddenly deleted almost all of the couple’s photos together on Instagram and unfollowed Kelly in early February. At the time, People reported that Fox was no longer wearing her engagement ring. “They haven’t officially called off the engagement but Megan took her ring off,” the source explained. “They have had issues in the past, but things seem pretty serious this time.”
Fox and Kelly, whose real name is Colson baker, began dating after meeting through work in 2020 before getting engaged in 2022.
