English actress Lily James has just arrived at the 80th Golden Globes in a dress that puts the red in red carpet event. Literally.
Wearing a scorching red gown from Atelier Versace, the star required several helpers to carry the gown’s extravagant train as she stepped from her car and made her way to the pap-filled entrance of the Golden Globes.

According to James, the bold red gown she chose was that voluminous that it required her to arrive in a car she could stand up in.
The 33-year-old star kept the details simple to balance out the complexity of the dress with neutral toned make-up and simple – yet no less dazzling – diamond jewellery from Harry Winston.
James, who has been nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television for her role as Pamela Anderson in Pam and Tommy, had been sharing her pre-Globes glam process to her followers on Instagram. This included getting a facial treatment from Iván Pol, founder of The Beauty Sandwich and his The Beauty Sandwich’s Secret Sauce treatment serum.
Lily James‘ competition for the trophy is fierce with her fellow nominees having also played some of the most controversial women of the past century including Jessica Chastain as Tammy Faye in George and Tammy, Julia Garner for Inventing Anna, Julia Roberts for Gaslit and Amanda Seyfried for The Dropout.
