To mark the launch of a significant milestone in the UAE, LETOILE hosted a grand opening on February 14 at its new Dubai Festival City flagship with beauty expert Noha Nabil sharing exclusive tips, as well as Saudi model Joelle Mardinian in attendance and other VIP guests.

Tatiana Volodina, President of LETOILE, was also there for the spectacular launch, where she shared her excitement over the landmark occasion.

“We are thrilled to bring our unique beauty experience to the UAE,” she said. “Our flagship store is more than just a retail space—it’s a sensory journey where customers can explore the world’s most sought-after fragrances and beauty innovations in a stylish, immersive setting.”

Of course, among the influential names in attendance was none other than Olivier Cresp—a legend in the fragrance world who needs no introduction.

Making a special trip to the Middle East, he unveiled his exclusive partnership with LETOILE, bringing his brand, Akro, to the region. Founded with his daughter Anaïs in 2018, the perfumer behind cult classics like Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue and Mugler’s Angel sat down with GRAZIA to talk about the elevated customer experience at LETOILE.

The shopping experience they have curated is exactly as they described it: “exclusive and new.” As described by Olivier, at LETOILE every stationed consultant is a master of scents, they provide an experience where guests don’t have to do the legwork to find the gem among 5,000 fragrances in the store.

“At LETOILE, you just need a few whiffs to find the best,” he shared. “You’ll immediately recognise the quality, richness, and originality. It’s what makes this partnership with Tatyana very trustworthy for the customers.”

Olivier explained that it’s a special partnership filled with “trust on both sides”, which has surpassed any expectations over the last three years of working together. And, no doubt, this new chapter in the Middle East marks an exciting one.

By way of fragrances, Olivier shared more details about his brand with GRAZIA.

“We have 13 fragrances – they are based on addiction and pleasures of life,” he explained. “My perfumery is figurative and minimalist when it comes to ingredients, using the best ingredients.”

But what exactly makes a fragrance timeless and truly special? “What is important as a perfumer is finding the right ideas,” Olivier affirmed. “Within Arko, all of our perfumes are different. We are daring when it comes to our scents, but they are also wearable.”

This is particularly important when finding a scent that works for you.  “Here, you need to look for quality, richness and originality,” he declared, adding that’s something he’s always sought out to do with Akro.

Noha Nabil, the region’s go-to beauty expert, was just as thrilled.

Taking centre stage, she shared, “It’s an honour to be at the grand opening of the largest beauty store in the Middle East.” She was particularly drawn to one standout brand, adding, “I’m a big fan of oud, any brand with a local flavour. My favourite perfume brand in the Middle East is Hind Al Oud, and it’s right here at LETOILE.”

Joelle Mardinian, a renowned Lebanese TV host and makeup artist, was also in attendance and had already carefully curated her favourites from the store’s luxurious selection.

Instantly captivated by the Maisons close to her heart, she remarked, “My top picks at LETOILE? Anything from Van Cleef & Arpels and, of course, Chanel N°5!”
