After being single for a year, it’s becoming increasingly apparent that Kim Kardashian has cleared her bench and tapped in her starting lineup. That is to say, after reports that the reality star has silently been seeing Baltimore Ravens wide receiver, Odell Beckham Jr., the 43-year-old soft-launched their relationship by leaving the Vanity Fair Oscars After Party together.
The entrepreneur and football players first piqued the internet’s interest after sources confirmed they were hanging out on a casual basis in September 2023. “[Kardashian] is not seriously dating anyone at the moment but is open to finding love again if she meets the right person,” an insider with intel confirmed to Page Six at the time.
However, it seems that the burgeoning couple aren’t necessarily taking a covert approach to their relationship, irrespective of the label they’re putting on things. Even with SKIMS’ strategic partnership with the NBA as the official underwear sponsor and her flourishing relationship with an NFL athlete, it doesn’t look like Kardashian is officially ready to enter her ‘WAG’ era quite yet. (Could you imagine her and Taylor Swift sitting in the stands at next year’s Super Bowl?)
Kardashian and Beckham Jr. were spotted arriving at Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s after-party later in the evening, yet it’s not clear how the pair concluded their night together. While Kardashian was close to the musician power couple during her relationship with her ex-husband, Kanye West (a.k.a Ye), this party would make the second Carter-Knowles-hosted event that she attended with the footballer.
Only last month Beckham and Kardashian both were present at Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s pre-Grammys party in February. Days later, the pair were seen again in Las Vegas attending a Super Bowl event with the likes of Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber.
If reports are to be believed, Kardashian and Beckham Jr. have no real plans of taking their relationship public anytime soon. An insider noted they’re “trying to figure out the next steps” as “Odell’s personality is much more private…and low-key, while Kim’s more accustomed to the limelight”. Oh, the rocky terrain of dating in Hollywood…
