When Travis Barker proposed to Kourtney Kardashian last week, it wasn’t a surprise that an entire camera crew was involved. Rumours of a new Hulu series have been circulating for some time and while we knew the pair were involved, a new report suggests that the entire Kardashian-Jenner family will have a staring role.
According to Variety, the famous family have teamed up with Fulwell 73 (known for its work on James Corden’s CBS talk show) to produce the Hulu-led project. Little is known about the exact details but it is believed to bring viewers a “new, intimate journey into their lives.”
Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian West and Khloé Kardashian will serve as executive producers as well as Ryan Seacrest who discovered the family in the ’00s. Kendall and Kylie Jenner will star in the series. A title at this time is unknown (we’re taking bets from now on).
The new venture comes after they completed 20 seasons of KUWTK with E!. It premiered in 2007 and ran for a lengthy 14 years. In that time Kim married and divorced Kanye West and launched a number of successful brands. Khloé had a child to Tristan Thompson (who consequently cheated on her) and Kourtney and Scott split and got back together many times.
The new multi-year deal with Disney will see the series streamed on Hulu in the US, Star Plus in Latin America and Disney Plus in all other territories (including Australia!).
Given the past few months – most notably Scott Disick’s reaction to Kourtney’s engagement and Kylie’s pregnancy to Travis Scott – the upcoming season is sure to be explosive. We’d be lying if we said we didn’t miss the intimate weekly updates on the Kardashian family.
The new series is expected to launch in the first half of 2022.
