It’s time it take out your best outfit and get your groove on, as Saudi gears up to launch its first-ever international jazz festival in Riyadh.

This exciting new event – the Riyadh International Jazz Festival – is set to take place from February 7 to February 9, 2024, at the Mayadeen Theatre in Diriyah, Riyadh.

Set throughout three evenings, the festival is said to headline some of the biggest international artists as well as emerging artists from the region whose music would evoke a sense of liveliness in the atmosphere and bring soulful songs for all to enjoy. With major names like ‘Queen of Funk’ Chaka Khan, jazz-funk band The Cat Empire, ‘TrapHouseJazz’ pioneer Masego and many to headline the festival, it is an evening promised with unparalleled entertainment gracing right here in the heart of Riyadh. Along with the list of renowned artists set to perform, the festival opens its doors for new up-and-coming artists to showcase their talents as well. 

Each night is more enthralling than the previous, showcasing the brilliance of renowned clarinettist Peter Long and his orchestra at the Jazz Cafe. The lineup also boasts the exceptional talents of Saudi artists, including Noura Alamry, Sara Shafie, Lou Lies and Abdullah Filfilan in a captivating rotation.

Riyadh International Jazz Festival is orchestrated by the Music Commission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to help promote the nation’s thriving music sector.
